You are more than a collection of labels. Your experiences are real and unique. In me, you will find a compassionate, inclusive, and open-minded listener who pays attention to your story. Together, we will create and walk a path toward healing and resilience. We will discover your shining inner core, uncovering your beautiful essence. I will be honored to be your guide on your journey.
I have worked with children, youths, and adults who have experienced grief and trauma. I am EMDR trained and earned a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Research Foundation. I also use Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and am continuing to educate myself about trauma and therapeutic techniques designed to support trauma survivors on their healing journey. As appropriate, I also include somatic approaches. My overall approach is integral, integrating transpersonal aspects and methods into more traditional counseling approaches.
IADC Grief Therapy
I offer a new therapeutic approach to addressing grief, called Induced After-Death Communication (IADC). The name reflects that a large number of clients experience After-Death Communication (ADC) during the first or second session. However, for this approach to be healing, an ADC does not need to occur. The approach uses bilateral stimulation (BLS), like EMDR, but follows a specific, grief-focused protocol.
To have successful IADC therapy, it is necessary to be able to fully feel your grief. If that should be a challenge for you, please initially request regular psychotherapy sessions that we can use to work on this issue.
This specialized IADC treatment requires 2 double-sessions (90 minutes each)
for a fee of $350.
You can schedule sessions or introductory calls via my online client portal, which shows you available time slots. In my experience, 90-minute sessions allow us to go to greater depths. Therefore, 90 minute-sessions ("double sessions") are recommended whenever possible. 45-Minute sessions are also available.
